About founder

WELCOME! I’m Busi Nkosi, creator of the BOLD WRITERS INK journal, what inspired me to create them was a deterioration in my mental health. When I was 23 years old I moved from South Africa to the United States. The unfamiliar environment, disconnect with loved ones, and challenges to my childhood beliefs took a tremendous hit to my sense of significance, purpose, personal qualities, and values.

My journey to success was disrupted and I suffered an identity crisis because I had to view myself outside of the bubble that defined success, growth and  labeled me as a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, and a friend and for the first time, it was "sadly" just me, myself and I.  I guess  I could say I 'lost myself'  and I adopted toxic habits but it led me to a journey of self-discovery.

I realized what I was 'seeking' or thought I had 'lost' was in me and didn't need to be found but harnessed instead, to grow into it's wholeness. I finally began to see the beauty in  rediscovering the essence of  life  and that encouraged the process to relearn, recreate and change my perspective, goals, and beliefs which meant being intentional about how I take care of myself.

By committing to routines, focusing on positive thoughts, reflecting and working on my spiritual connection by creating a belief system that benefits the life I want to manifest. When I feel depressed, writing is always a healthy way to offload and reassure myself so I had the spirit-guided idea to help more people to be in tune with their intuition, center, or core.

I am a firm believer that ‘you create your reality’ and to find a balance in a healthy body, mind, and soul, you have to act, feel and think as you’d wish to attract.

About the product

Imagine a place where all your thoughts, fears, plans, and desires are stored in a way that helps you compartmentalize them. That is what the journals were created for, for too long we have lived our lives on autopilot, focusing energy on experiences that appeal to physical needs forgetting that we are all spiritual beings and we must learn to ground ourselves to be unshaken when the world around us trembles.

Being intentional about yourself in what you do, what you say, or how you think helps you become more mindful and reflective of your perspective, interactions and attractions making it easier to change the negative and harness the positive.

The desire for better life experiences sparked a curiosity of whether they’re people out there  wishing to find a balance.  Considering how journaling has been scientifically proven to be therapeutic and private, This is one of the best ways to start the journey to betterment especially if you’re not comfortable sharing with others.

Although going for therapy is highly recommended because vulnerability is healing, journals  can assist if you want to first be vulnerable with yourself.

About you

Why are you here? Whatever your answer is I'm glad you came. It takes a lot to admit you need to make some changes and even much more to be curious about ways to adopt healthy habits so celebrate this moment.

These Journals are not miracle workers, YOU are the magic that can create miracles and these journals are just a tool that will help you realize that. Whatever goal you are working towards, even if it is as simple as staying happy, feeling grateful, or being productive. It is essential to be accountable and intentional.

A lot of the time we blame generational curses for continuous bad behavior but perhaps the issue could really be generational ignorance. It took time and continuous practice to learn to be who you are now, it takes the same to relearn and beco me who you want to be. Ask yourself, if I’m aware there’s a problem yet aren’t finding active ways to change, am I not contributing to it affecting my lineage for generations to come? The change begins with you!

It doesn’t matter if you are new to the idea of being intentional about your inner being as you are your appearance and how society perceives you or just want to further work on the love, growth, and faith in your existence...truth is,  we all have an inner voice that is guiding us to our higher self, whether you believe in God, the universe, spirit guides, magic, the cosmos or nothing at all, the bottom line is the heart is the one the mind must learn to trust and to do so, we have to start somewhere and reprogram the subconscious to be child-like and heal the parts that made us forget we can be and  do anything we sets our mind to, all we need is time, patience and consistency, all which are free.  These journals can assist in focusing  on the "what if it all works out" way of thinking.
